KIST Signs MoU with World Skill Center, Bhubaneswar for Skill Upliftment of Students

Bhubaneswar, August 21, 2026: Konark Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Skill Center (WSC), Bhubaneswar, on 21st August 2026, with the objective of enhancing and strengthening the skill development opportunities available to KIST students.

The collaboration focuses on the skill upliftment of students across 64 different skill sets, covering all five engineering domains. The initiative is aimed at providing students with broader exposure to industry-oriented skills, practical learning, and advanced technical training.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the World Skill Center (WSC), Bhubaneswar.

Representing KIST at the event were Dr. Surya Narayan Patnaik, Dean, KIST, and Dr. Chandrakanta Mishra, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KIST.

The collaboration between KIST and WSC is expected to create further opportunities for students to strengthen their technical competencies and acquire diverse skills aligned with emerging professional and industry requirements.

The MoU marks another significant step by KIST towards promoting skill-based education, experiential learning, and professional development among its students.
