KIST and CSIR-IMMT Sign MoU for Academic and Research Collaboration
Bhubaneswar, September 29, 2026: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Konark Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and CSIR–Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar, on the occasion of the 85th Foundation Day of CSIR-IMMT.
The MoU aims to strengthen academic, technical, and research collaboration between the two institutions in areas including Faculty Development Programmes (FDP), Seminars, Student Development Programmes (SDP), Student Faculty Internship Programme, and Research & Development (R&D) activities.
Representing KIST at the ceremony were Dr. Surya Narayan Patnaik, Dean, KIST, and Dr. Chandrakanta Mishra, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KIST.
The collaboration is expected to provide opportunities for faculty members and students to engage in knowledge exchange, technical training, research activities, seminars, and skill-development initiatives, while promoting stronger industry–academia and research–academia linkages.
The MoU marks an important step towards fostering academic excellence, collaborative research, and technological development through the combined expertise and resources of KIST and CSIR-IMMT.
